Gertie - The EHS Band Corn Roast sponsors the Band as it states. The money for tickets is for FOOD. The band and arts programs have always been pretty self sufficient in raising their own money - So what if once in awhile someone knocks on your door? Is everyone so hateful anymore they can't take 10 seconds out of their day to politely say hello and then no thank you if you aren't interested in the corn roast.

Don't get me started on this school levy thing. One of their selling points was that kids wouldn't be knocking on doors of community residents as much soliciting donations/fundraisers, etc. Yesterday was the very first day of school and guess what, "knock, knock, knock" - "Would you like to buy a ticket for the EHS Band Corn Roast?

We have already been struck by a disaster. Taxpayers/citizens of Randolph are receiving it in themail. The TAX ASSESSMENTS & SCHOOL LEVY is the disaster! What it has done is worse than a actual disaster. It takes from every taxpayer, owner and citizen like a disaster but was accomplished by a orchastrated planned county commissioners sugar coated effort. Now this "disaster" is upon us all. With an actual struck disaster, I believe it would only in an area not liken this Assessment/Levy disaster which has affected everyone. Disaster recovery is good. I am sure the county has plans to make sure revenue is still collected in another site, bldg or etc. I am wondering what they have done for the citizens if one occurs? It would amaze me if anything has been done except meet and publize it now for show. It would be nice to see the "Plan" incase we are going to Elkins and smell gas or acid? What do we do or go? Oh well!
